Frequently Asked Questions about Craft Felt

What sizes of craft felt are available?

Our craft felt is available in a variety of sizes, from small sheets to large rolls. We use a “craft felt by the metre” format that allows you to select a custom size based on your project.

Is your craft felt suitable for children's projects?

Our craft felt is non-toxic, making it safe for children's felt craft projects. Arbee craft felt is easy to cut and sew, so even young children can enjoy using it to create fun and colourful felt crafts. Additionally, we also stock self-adhesive felt which is great for kids as they can peel and stick the felt without having to use extra adhesive or involve sewing.

How do I clean craft felt?

To clean craft felt, spot clean the surface with a damp cloth or hand wash it in warm, soapy water. Air dry craft felt flat to prevent it from shrinking, stretching or warping.

About Arbee Craft

The Arbee Business began in 1902. The owner Mr. R.B.Stevens, a leather merchant, started the business to sell his leather items.

The original Arbee business, shop and factory, was in Swanston Street, Melbourne.

By the 1930s Arbee had expanded to make the famous Arbee moccasins. These became well known as they had durable cowhide on the outside and a layer of lambswool on the inside. Arbee made the moccasins for many years and the kits were very popular in the 1960s and 1970s. During this time Arbee diversified with some other products that were popular e.g. cane items.
