Lampshades Using Self-Adhesive Paper

We receive many enquiries regarding our lampshades. In order to make the job of covering shades easier we have begun stocking self adhesive paper. This paper adds stiffness to fabrics and insulates the light globe from making the shade too hot. As it is white it is ideal for using with darker fabrics to enable a white light to still glow. For safety use a low watt (15 watt) globe and do not leave the lamp on for more than five hours at a time.
1. Draw a template of the shade

2. Cut it out of the paper

3. Peel away the backing paper

4. Press the paper onto the wrong side of the fabric and position it on the frame. Glue the edge in place.

5. Fold and glue the edges.
