Some Frequently asked Questions relating to Sealing Wax

Question:
How do I melt Sealing Wax?
Answer:
Place the tub of wax in a double boiler and melt until liquid. Always use a test bottle to ensure the desired thickness and finish of wax is achieved. If finish is too thin the wax is too hot. If the wax is cold it will clump.

Question:
Can I melt Sealing Wax in the microwave?
Answer:
Sealing Wax is a very hard wax which contains iron. This means that it has a high melting point which makes it unsafe to heat in a microwave.
