Hi,  I am Kate the Red Kangaroo

I am from the largest kangaroo family in Australia.  My fur is very soft to touch and I have long pointed ears.  My front legs are small, but my hind legs are big and strong with long feet.  I have a long powerful tail that I use for balance when hopping and leaping, travelling as fast as sixty five kilometres an hour.  I have a special pouch where my joey(baby) lives for its first six months.  I live with a group of Red Kangaroos called a mob.  We like to live in open grasslands where there is lots of vegetation for us to eat.
